The main objectives of this project are to:

  • Provide an overview of empathy as a key sustainability competence;
  • Explore engineering students’ and educators’ understandings and experiences of empathy in the education for sustainable development;
  • Suggest ways to embed empathy into engineering curricula for sustainability and education for sustainable development.
